Dr. Sharmistha Roy

Dr. Sharmistha Roy is a compassionate and skilled Radiation Oncologist currently practicing at Hope & Heal Cancer Hospital and Research Center, Jatiakhali, Fulbari, Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. She completed her DNB in Radiation Oncology from the esteemed Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Jaipur, and earned her MBBS from Agartala Government Medical College, Tripura.

With robust training in advanced radiotherapy techniques such as 3DCRT, IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, and HDR brachytherapy, Dr. Roy brings a holistic approach to cancer care. She is proficient in treatment planning systems like Monaco, Oncentra, and Eclipse, and has worked with cutting-edge linear accelerators including True Beam STx, Halcyon, and Versa HD.

Her clinical interests lie in precision radiotherapy and gynecologic malignancies, and her academic contributions include an award-winning oral presentation on intracavitary brachytherapy at RAJAROICON 2023. She is also an active participant in national oncology conferences and has several research publications awaiting release.

Fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali, Dr. Roy is a life member of the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI). She is known for her dedication to patient-centered care and evidence-based oncology practices, aiming to deliver quality cancer treatment closer to home for patients in North Bengal and beyond.
